Applications are invited for a Senior Algorithms Engineer in image processing
and machine vision at one of KLA-Tencor's wafer inspection division. It is an
exciting opportunity to contribute in the research and development of
cutting edge inspection and metrology technology and make a significant
impact in a multi-billion dollar industry.
Responsible for development of advanced wafer inspection algorithms. Strong system-oriented approach to problem solving is required.
The job includes investigation, design, implementation, optimization, documentation, and characterization of algorithms. The job requires collaboration with marketing/applications to understand customer challenges and help define solutions. It may also required various degrees of system modeling and system level characterization.

Qualifications/Education Desired 
Semiconductor industry experience highly desirable.
Strong background and experience image/signal processing algorithms, pattern recognition, and real time image processing on distributed computer systems.
Software skills: C/C++, Matlab/Mathematica/IDL, OOD/OOP. Windowsand Linux. Optimization skills on SSE/AltiVec highly desirable.
Good verbal & written communication needed.

Basic Qualifications 
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
OR
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 2 years of experience.
